Livelihood Restoration Programme (LRP)
Vitol, partnering with Eni, created a targeted Livelihood Restoration Plan to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth within the OCTP/Sankofa area of influence.
The Livelihood Restoration Programme (LRP) was created to mitigate the impact of the project in the immediate area of the Onshore Receiving Facility. This included providing financial support to households directly affected by the project. This financial support equipped 205 households with the necessary means to set up commercial enterprises.
As part of the LRP, training was then provided across a range of livelihoods, such as livestock production, aquaculture, food processing, trading and vocational skills, like hair dressing or carpentry.
Community investment strategy
Vitol Ghana has been providing grants to organisations that seek to improve water, energy, sanitation and education services since 2016. Our investments serve communities stretching from Bakanta to Atuabo. In total, Vitol and its partners have dedicated up to $15 million to local programmes and projects.
