The Varkey Foundation

The Varkey Foundation is an educational charity that runs the Train for Tomorrow (T4T) programme in Ghana.

Vitol has supported T4T which looks to improve the standard of education for underprivileged children. The $2 million project seeks to train school principals to become Instructional Leaders.

Leaders are taught to make their teaching more creative, while improving monitoring and evaluation processes to be able to measure tangible impact. Methods include using blackboards to improve lesson interactivity and providing printed materials to teachers to faciliate their understanding.

T4T operates in 4 districts in Eastern Region, working with nearly 500 schools.
